Permits & paperwork for hunting in Serbia
What a visiting hunter actually needs to hunt in Serbia — which permits and documents, and who arranges them for you.
Paperwork is the number-one worry for visiting hunters — and in practice it is simpler than it looks, because the ground handles most of it for you.
What you need as a guest hunter
- A valid passport / ID. That is the only document you must bring yourself.
- A guest hunting permit for the days of your hunt — issued by the hunting ground; you do not need a Serbian hunting licence.
- If you bring your own firearm, a temporary import declaration is required at the border — see CITES & firearms. Alternatively, a firearm can often be rented from the ground.
